Annual 10K Community Walk-Run
The proceeds raised from this event will directly benefit May the World Dance, Inc an 501 (c) (3), the Village of Dresden and Zanesville's Secrest Auditorium renovation project.
May the World Dance, Inc is a non profit organization that primary raises funds to assist children, adults and persons with disabilities who suffer from obesity related issues and complications. In addition, we purchase shoes, clothing and provide direct medical referral for persons who require assistance. We are privileged to be able to serve this special population. Please assist us in providing this special service to persons in Muskingum County.
We feel that this is one of Ohio's greatest outdoor 10K walks and runs. This is a great outdoor 10K walk and run on a beautiful land scaped state route, free from the hassle of running in the city. We remain impressed with walking and running on this route with so much freedom and space.
The annual 10 K run will be held on June 20, 2009 in conjunction with The Village of Dresden Home Coming. We encourage you to bring you swimming clothes and extra cash to frequent the custom shop in the Village. The Village has Bed and Breakfast housing available. Please call the Dresden Village Association at 740-754-3401 for information on shopping and accommodations.
We encourage persons with disabilities, aging adults, walkers and runners of all ages to sign up for this great event! There will be port-o-potties, hydration stations, and first aid stations available along the route.
The event is supported by the Mayors, Dresden Village Association, ZPD, MSD, ZFD, DPD and DFD. Thank you for making this event great!
Concluding the event, food will be provided for you by Heavenly Ham, and drinks by Pepsi. The beautiful Dresden pool will be open for walkers and runners. What a great way to relax following an event like this. It will make for a beautiful family fun day! In addition, there will be rides and fun events for your children and family members.
Free rides back to Zanesville will be provided by the Zanesville Bus Services.
Portable Toilets will be located at the starting point, along the course and at the end of the course.
Free drinks will be located at the start, middle and end of the course, compliments of Pepsi Cola Company of Zanesville, Ohio.
